Megan Shung, an acclaimed international musician based in Los Angeles, is known for her versatility as a violinist, erhu player, composer, producer, and educator. Her collaborations include work with Anthony Kiedis, Michael Bublé, Seal, Billy Childs and many others.
She is the co-director of String Project Los Angeles (SPLA), advancing the education and performance of bowed string instruments. She is also on faculty at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music as the department chair of World Music, Suzuki violin and jazz violin faculty. An experienced clinician, she’s has presented workshops and lectures worldwide with a focus on cultivating creativity through musical improvisation.
