CHAIR OF JUNIOR FESTIVAL

Pianist, Rosanna Marzaroli, began her piano studies at the age of three in Bangkok, Thailand.   At age four Rosanna and her twin sister, Vanessa, gave their first public performance and were frequent guest artists on many Thai Television networks.  Rosanna moved to Los Angeles, CA at ten where she won numerous prestigious awards and competitions as a student of Carl Matthes.  She was a Gold Medal winner for five consecutive years from the Southern California Junior Bach Festival (“SCJBF”). At fourteen Rosanna was the Gold Medal winner for the first J.S. Bach’s “Goldberg” Variations, Competition at the SCJBF.  At seventeen Rosanna was invited to perform the complete J.S. Bach’s, “Goldberg” Variations at the J.S. Bach Concert Series in Los Angeles, CA.

 

Rosanna received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern California where she was a student of John Perry and Master of Music degree from Rice University as a student of Dr. Robert Roux. As a soloist, she has performed with the Los Angeles Bach Festival Orchestra, the Glendale Symphony Orchestra, (under Lalo Schifrin), California State University-Los Angeles Orchestra, and the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. Additional performances have been in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, (Music Center Los Angeles), the Aspen Music Festival, Steinway Hall in New York City, as well as in Prague, Italy, and the Netherlands.  

 

Rosanna has served on the faculty of the Music Academy of North Carolina.  She has performed Duet/Duo piano music throughout Southern California with her piano partner, Natalie Ross. She is in demand as a judge for music festivals and competitions.  Rosanna was also appointed Executive Manager for the Music in Me Foundation in California, a non-profit organization that brings music to children in the Middle East. She was on the Board of Directors for the Music Teachers’ Association of California, Glendale Branch, where she has served as Branch President. Currently, Rosanna is Area Director for the International Association of Professional Music Teachers. Rosanna resides in Orange County where she maintains private studios at Tustin Dance Center and in her home. She is the recipient of the Steinway Top Teacher Award for 2021.
