DIRECTOR OF JUNIOR FESTIVAL

Ms. Irene Park is a distinguished pianist with a multifaceted career as a recitalist, collaborative pianist, and chamber musician. She has performed at esteemed venues worldwide, including Seocho City Hall, HyoJa Arts Hall, NoWon City Arts Center, GunSan City Arts Center, and DaSom Arts Center in South Korea; Haydn Hall in Vienna; the Great Concert Hall in Târgu Mureș, Romania; and prominent U.S. venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, Zipper Hall, Soka Performing Arts Center, La Mirada Theater, Munson Hall, and Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

Currently, Ms. Park serves as an Adjunct Professor at Fullerton College. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she is deeply committed to music education, offering piano instruction and music theory lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. She is also an experienced adjudicator, having judged competitions such as the Satori Competition, Iapmt international Piano Competition and the Certificate of Merit program.

Since 1997, Ms. Park has been performing as part of a piano duo with her husband, Dr. Andrew Park. Together, they have presented works with the Dosan Philharmonic Orchestra and collaborated with renowned pianist Hai-Kyung Suh at La Mirada Theatre. Furthermore, she actively contributes as a pianist for various choirs and organizations, including the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Laguna Road School Choir, Christian Herald Times Choir, and the Ewha Women’s Choir.

Ms. Park holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Music, where she received the USC Dean’s Award and was inducted into the Musicians Honor Society, Phi Kappa Lambda. She also earned a Master’s degree from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) School of Music, where she performed Ravel’s concerto with the orchestra as the winner of the CSUN Piano Concerto Competition. Her academic journey began with studies in music composition at Yonsei University in Korea. She had the privilege of studying under renowned pianists Norman Krieger at USC and Françoise Régnat at CSUN.
