Born in Shanghai, China, Yin began piano at age of 3 and has earned both BA and MA degrees from Shanghai Normal University in Music Education and Piano Performance. Yin moved to the United States 8 years ago and has studied at Azusa Pacific and La Sierra Universities earning various Artist Diploma in Keyboard Collaborative Arts which is her true passion. She has performed widely in the US, as well as China and Europe., where she has collaborated with legendary musicians, including Victoria Livengood and Lisette Oropesa, internationally acclaimed opera singers, Alan Smith, legendary pianist at the USC Thornton School of Music, Glenn Dicterow, violinist and former concertmaster of NY philharmonic, and Yi-Bing Chu, renowned cellist and former principal cellist in Basel Symphony Orchestra as well as the guest principal cellist of Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

As a productive collaborative pianist, Yin’s performance experiences started in 1998, where she served as piano accompanist and choir member in Shanghai Normal University XinZhi Girl’s Choir for 7 years. Additionally, she was designated  as the piano accompanist for the vocal audition at Shanghai Normal University School of Music for 10 years. After moving to the USA in 2016, Yin has collaborated with numeral talented musicians in this country. In 2020 summer, she played virtually in the internationally acclaimed operatic soprano Lisette Oropesa’s vocal master class. From 2019, Yin started served as staff accompanist of Women Ensemble at Mayfield Senior School, and the University of Redlands. She was also invited to play in Roomful of Pianos- A Lounge 88 Concert Event in 2019 NAMM show. In 2021, she was invited to be the piano coach in Worldful of Piano in 2021 NAMM Show. In the same year, she started serving as Artistic Director at the MARKER AND PIONEER International Culture Exchange Center, hosting the MAP International Music Competition.  

In 2022-2023 season, Yin was the collaborative pianist of Claremont Chorale, Los Angeles Chinese Musicians Ensemble Chorus, in which she received several honorable awards from Mayer of City of Arcadia, Mayer of City of West Covina and Mayer of City of Walnut in California. Yin’s piano instructors including Shuxing Zheng, former director of piano department at Shanghai Conservatory; Lan’er Hu, Piano Professor at Shanghai Conservatory; Zhebang Xie, former director of piano department at Shanghai Normal University; Dr. Joel Clifft, director of Keyboard Studying at Azusa Pacific University; Dr. Elvin Rodriguez,  associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and piano professor in school of music at La Sierra University. Ms. Lin is currently pursing her DMA degree program in Collaborative Piano under Dr. Michael Bunchman at the University of Southern Mississippi.
