Pianist Yeseul Park graduated from Sunhwa Arts School and completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano at Sookmyung Women’s University with excellent academic achievements. During her master’s program, she won the Outstanding Recital Award. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in piano at Sookmyung Women’s University, continuing to develop a wide range of musical skills through performance, education, and various musical activities. She studied under pianist Jeon Hye-Soo.
She has gained attention for her active performance career and outstanding musical accomplishments both domestically and internationally. On the international stage, she won 1st place at the Orbetello International Piano Competition (Italy), 2nd place at the Amigdala International Music Competition (Italy), 2nd place at the Festival International de Musica Almeria 2023 (Spain), and 1st place at the IAPMT Grand Concours (USA). Domestically, she won 1st place at the Seoul Orchestra Competition and the Uijin Scholarship Foundation Award, and performed as a soloist with the Seoul Orchestra, earning recognition as a prominent performer.
Her musical journey is diverse. She has collaborated with the Moldova National Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra, the Diesis Ensemble in Spain, and the Liria Chamber Orchestra in Spain, presenting profound musical performances. In 2023, she was invited to the Kyushu Newcomer Concert in Japan, where she performed as a soloist. That same year, she received acclaim for her delicate and deep musical interpretation of Rachmaninoff’s works at the Rachmaninoff 150th Anniversary Concert in Spain.
Domestically, she has communicated her musical passion with audiences at the Piano Cantabile Summer Festival 2022, the 2023 Piano Cantabile New Year Concert, Naemo Ensemble performances, and the regular concerts of the International Piano Music Association. She has also performed at venues such as Ceramic Palace Hall, Yeongsan Art Hall, and Cosmos Hall.
As the leader of the Liberty Trio, consisting of flute, bassoon, and piano, she earned recognition by placing in the Music Journal Competition and winning 1st place at the IAPMT Competition. Liberty Trio has continued successful performances at the Seoul Arts Center and Yeongsan Art Hall, showcasing the diversity of contemporary music ensemble pieces.
Her passion as an opera pianist has also been an important aspect of her musical development. She participated as an accompanist and subtitle manager for the opera The Magic Flute and The Marriage of Figaro at Sookmyung Women’s University, demonstrating her versatility in various musical realms.
As an educator, she has devoted herself to teaching. While pursuing her master’s and doctoral degrees, she served as a teaching assistant in the Department of Piano, the Department of Chemistry, and the Department of Orchestral Studies at Sookmyung Women’s University, gaining valuable experience in the educational field. She has also contributed to the development of young musicians as an instructor at Daewon Girls’ High School, a specialized music school, and the Daewon Music Dream Camp.
She continues to expand her music career, performing as a soloist, collaborating with orchestras, participating in ensemble projects, and working as an opera pianist. Her passion and dedication to music are the foundation of her ongoing growth, and she strives to create an even deeper musical journey.
