Priscilla started playing piano at the age of five with Yifang Gu at Xi’an Conservatory of Music. She gave her first recital at the age of ten and has won various youth piano competitions such as the First Place of the Young Adolescent Piano Competition of Shangxi Province.
Priscilla went on to receive her Bachelor of Music Education at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, studied piano under professor Jinghua Wang and Professor Lan er Hu. After graduating, Priscilla studied voice at Korea Suk Meung Women’s University in Seoul with Dr. Hae Jin Kim. In 2009, Priscilla moved to the U.S and began graduate studies at Azusa Pacific University. She was awarded a full scholarship at APU for her Masters and Artist Certificate in Keyboard Collaborative of Arts under Dr. Joel Clifft. She had been the cello studio accompanist for professor Dr. Marek Szpakiewicz for 4 years.
Priscilla has Collaborated with many outstanding musicians such as Chinese Vocal Competition first pride wonner Mingjie Zhang, China Top 10 cellist Xian Zhuo, China the most famus clarinetist Tie Bai. collaborating with the Korean Opera Singers for a New Year Concert in Shanghai in 2003.
She is now a popular piano and vocal instructor in Covina, LA. She’s been teaching 28 years in China, Korea and US. Many of her students have been winning awards in many competitions and pass the ABRSM test as Distinction. Four of her students were and are studying piano major in APU.
