Pianist Hye Jung Choi, who attracts audiences with her solid batting and delicate and studious interpretation, graduated from Incheon Arts High School’s Secondary School of Arts Gifted Education and graduated from Gachon University (formerly, Kyungwon University) with the Department of Piano (Bachelor). Afterwards, she received Master’s degree from Hanyang University Graduate School of Music with excellent grades with a thesis titled “Study on Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Op. 27 No. 1”, and graduated from Sookmyung Women’s University Graduate School of Music with received her doctorate through a excellent grades with a thesis titled “Study on Amy Beach’s Piano Works”.
She rose to prominence in Korea by winning the Incheon Arts High School Music Competition, the Gyeonggi Arts High School Music Competition, the Music Education Newspaper Competition, and the Central Music Newspaper Competition.
She also won the Millennium Symphony Orchestra Competition (Piano part), the 3rd Korea-German Brahms Association Competition, the 1st JK Classic Music Competition (Duo part), and the Baekseok Music Competition. Overseas, she has also been recognized for her ability in a number of competitions at home and abroad, including the 1st place in the IAPMT (International Association of Professional Music Teachers) International Competition (USA) Solo part, the Montecito International Competition (USA), the Almeria International Competition (Spain). Notably, she has collaborated with renowned orchestras, including the Poland Torun Symphony Orchestra, Russia Pacific Symphony Orchestra, Spain Alicante Philhamonic Orchestra, Vienna CMS Chamber Orchestra, Spain Diesis Ensemble and Spain Lilia Chamber Orchestra, solidifying her position as an intermationally recognized performer. Recently, she played piano ensembles at the Leipzig Alte Börse, Schumann Haus, and the Carl Maria von Weber Museum in Germany.

In addition, she added musical depth through a number of master classes including Jerome Lowenthal, Edward Auer, Klaus Hellwig, Christian Mercher, Michael Lewin, Alfredo Perl, Michael Hauber, Guido Heinke with her academic passion as well as performance activities.
Pianist Hye Jung Choi studied under Dae Wook Lee, Chong Pil Lim, Hye Young Yun, and Hye Soo Jeon, and served as a lecturer at Sookmyung Women’s University’s College of Music. Currently, she is active as a soloist and educator, a non-profit organization Piano Cantabile, a member of the Korean Piano Teaching Association, the French Music Research Association, and the Music Psychological Counseling Association.
