Dr. Mihyun Lee has performed as a piano soloist and chamber musician at various venues across Italy, the Czech Republic, South Korea, and the United States, including Ohio, New York, Washington, D.C., and California. As a soloist, she has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Russia Pacific Symphony Orchestra, Vienna CMS Orchestra, Romania Oltenia Craiova Philharmonic Orchestra, Janáček Chamber Orchestra, and Sae-Jong Symphony Orchestra. Her outstanding performances have been broadcast on Classical 101 and WOSU TV in Ohio, and she was invited as a guest artist at the Triumph International Music Festival in Philadelphia.
A winner of numerous international piano competitions, Dr. Lee made her debut at the John F. Kennedy Center and Carnegie Weill Recital Hall. She holds degrees in piano performance from Sookmyung Women’s University (BM), the Cleveland Institute of Music (MM), and The Ohio State University (DMA), where she was awarded a scholarship and served as a graduate teaching assistant.
As an educator, Dr. Lee has taught both in-person and online classes, and since 2020, she has hosted piano summer festivals in California for students learning remotely. She has also served as an adjudicator for the World Piano Teachers Association USA-Missouri Amateur Competition and Gateway Piano Festival. She has held faculty positions at Sookmyung Women’s University, Baekseok Arts University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges (staff accompanist), and CMS Webster University. Currently, she is an Adjunct Piano Faculty member at St. Charles Community College and Lindenwood University in Missouri.
